Custom Enzymes distillery enzymes have been specially formulated to increase the production of ethanol, convert unfermentable into fermentable sugars, control bacteria contamination and strengthen valuable yeast.
The distilleries can be differentiated based on the type of feedstock used. There are mainly two types of feedstock: - Sugar and Starch.
A sugar-based distillery is further divided into feedstocks like treated Cane Juice, Cane Molasses, Beet Juice, Beet Molasses etc. Whereas, starch-based distilleries are further divided into Grains and Tubers like Rice, Wheat, Corn, Barley, Millet and cassava roots.
Enzymes have been widely used in distilleries for various benefits like increasing the yield and efficiency by utilizing dextrin’s and polymers which yeast cannot metabolize directly, streamlining the processes, eliminating bacterial contaminants, thus lower bi-products and improving the spirit quality.
